The name “Wear&Care” was chosen to reflect some of the things you’ll find in the shop (items that you wear) as well as making reference to the type of services we offer (“caring”).
The shop in Berwick is located close to the historic town walls in Hazel Marsden House - premises which are owned by the Charity and where, in areas separate to the shop, some of our clinical services are provided.
The shop has been fitted out to a high standard, with both contemporary and vintage-inspired touches, the original features of the building preserved, including the beautiful arched windows which allow in lots of natural light.
Wear&Care has the feel of an emporium with good selections of women’s wear and accessories, men’s wear, homewares, books and music, a children’s area, and small items of furniture. Of course we can’t tell you exactly what you’ll find when you visit us as our stock changes on a daily basis, which we think is half the fun of shopping here!
The guiding principle in converting part of Hazel Marsden House into a retail operation has been to create a lovely, inviting destination where customers enjoy shopping and hopefully leave feeling inspired to support us however they can. This could be by donating items, getting involved as a volunteer or just wanting to come and visit again! The shop features a small seating area where you can relax awhile and, if you like, read more about the services offered by the Charity.
We hope to see you soon at Wear&Care!
