What makes us special?

When you donate to our charity shops or purchase items for sale, what makes us so special is that your donations stay in North Northumberland to support a local charity, caring for local people.

What three of our retail volunteers say about volunteering with HospiceCare

JANEY

“I use it as motivation to get out of the house, otherwise I probably wouldn’t do so. I love going into the shop – for camaraderie, meeting lots of different people, and enthusiastically throwing myself into all the different tasks.”

 ANN

“Meeting lots of different people, keeping busy, contributing to something worthwhile, giving back to the community.”

JULIE

“I find it very relaxing and a complete contrast to my (stressful) job.  Helps me to unwind.  As with the others, I enjoy the team spirit in the shop amongst staff and volunteers, and the positive rapport with the public. It is a fantastic place/cause to be part of.”
