Working in partnership with our local schools
Engaging with our local schools is an important part of the work we do in promoting our clinical services across North Northumberland. Perhaps you may have a student who has a family member who is unwell or it could be a neighbour or friend. Through our Talks we hope to dispel any myth that hospices are places that are sad, scary or smell strange. We deliver our talks in a sympathetic way that suits the age of the audience.
We are also very happy to answer any questions during the talk. The children would always be welcome to make a special visit to have a look around our hospice premises at Alnwick and Berwick.

HospiceCare School Assembly Talks
You can invite us to deliver a HospiceCare Talk at a future Assembly. We can tailor the talk to suit the age group of the children/students and also to a specific time allocation.
Organise a Fundraising Event
Such as a 'dress down' day, homemade cake sale or perhaps a sponsored Silent event, or running laps around the school playground. The list is endless and we can help and support you every step of the way.
Adopt us as your Charity of the Year
It's a great way to get your students to engage with their local hospice and could be a good project for an academic year. We can help and support you every step of the way.
