In just the last 12 months we have delivered over 7,000 hours of Hospice at Home care and support.
To continue to meet this demand we need to generate over £500,000 this year. We will receive only 9% from the NHS the rest we have to find from donations and fundraising.
If you would like to donate to HospiceCare by making a one off or a regular donation you can click the BT Mydonate button below. If you decide to donate regularly, you become one of our “Friends” and you can find out more about becoming a "Friend" below. Thank you for your support.
Regular Giving - Why Support Us?
HospiceCare has been part of our community for over 20 years, providing end of life care to those people who wish to die at home rather than in hospital. In just the last 12 months we have delivered over 7,000 hours of Hospice at Home. All our services are free of charge. To meet this demand we have to raise around £525, 000 this year with just a 7.5% contribution from the NHS, the rest we have to find from donations and fundraising.
We are a small but passionate fundraising team of just 3 and as our income is not supported by National charities such as Macmillan and Marie Curie. Each year we face a relentless task to ensure we raise the funds for the continuation of our clinical services.
Why Regular Donations are vital to the work we do!
Regular Donations are a wonderful gift for us, as it allows us to plan for the future and budget accordingly. We already have an amazing group of committed FRIENDS, who have joined us because they value the work we do within our community and appreciate the enormous task we have to raise the funds. Our FRIENDS take comfort from knowing that the money they gift to us every month stays local and helps local people.
As one of our valued FRIENDS, you will be given a pair of ‘Free Pass’ entry tickets to one of our exclusive Open Gardens each year as well as receiving an annual letter to update you on our clinical services and how we have invested your donation

Remembering us in your Will
As our clinical services continue to change and develop to meet the growing needs of our communities living in North Northumberland, legacies enable us to ensure that future generations will be able to benefit from high quality end of life care and support , in a place of their choosing, at a time of their need, for as long as they need it. So if you are thinking about charitable giving as part of your Will please think about leaving a legacy to the HospiceCare.
Are you having a party or special celebration?
Why not ask your guests to make a donation to HospiceCare in lieu of gifts.
We can give you special celebration envelopes to include with your invitations, or provide Coin Collection Tins for you to use on the night of your event.
If you would like more information, or to order some of our free celebration envelopes, please call us on: 01665 606515 or email Julie on: firstname.lastname@example.org
Families, sometimes at the request of the deceased, may ask friends and family members to make donations to HospiceCare at the funeral in lieu of flowers.
Please be aware that not all churches allow charity collections at the funeral service, so do check with your undertaker who will be able to clarify this for you. Donations can always be sent directly to HospiceCare.
To help at this difficult and sensitive time, HospiceCare can supply special collection boxes and envelopes to use at the funeral. If this is something you would like to do, please either call us on: 01665 606515 or email julie on: email@example.com.
