In just the last 12 months we have delivered over 7,400 hours of Hospice at Home care and support.
To continue to meet this demand we need to generate over £525,000 this year. We will receive just 7.5% from the NHS the rest we have to find from donations and fundraising.
If you would like to donate to HospiceCare by making a one off or a regular donation you can click the BT Mydonate button below. If you decide to donate regularly, you become one of our “Friends” and you can find out more about becoming a "Friend" below. Thank you for your support.
Regular giving – why support us?
HospiceCare North Northumberland has been part of our community for more than 20 years. We are the main providers of free end of life care for local people within their own homes. We also run two drop in centres for patients and carers and bereavement support.
In the last two years referrals for our hospice at home service have more than doubled and in order to meet this increased demand we need to raise £525,000 a year. The NHS contributes only 7.5% of this, leaving us to rely on the generosity of our local community to raise over £485, 000 through donations and fundraising.
Why regular donations are vital to the work we do
Regular donations are a wonderful gift! They allow us to plan for the future and budget accordingly.

To continue to meet this growing demand, this year we need to generate around £525,000 and will receive just 7.5% from the NHS, the rest we have to find from donations and fundraising.
As an independent local charity we are not supported by National charities such as Macmillan and Marie Curie. Any money you are able to donate, will stay local and help local people in North Northumberland.

Families, sometimes at the request of the deceased, may ask friends and family members to make donations to HospiceCare at the funeral in lieu of flowers.
Please be aware that not all churches allow charity collections at the funeral service, so do check with your undertaker who will be able to clarify this for you. Donations can always be sent directly to HospiceCare.
To help at this difficult and sensitive time, HospiceCare can supply special collection boxes and envelopes to use at the funeral. If this is something you would like to do, please either call us on: 01665 606515 or email julie on: email@example.com.
